One of the mainstays of the Davies and Partners Solicitors construction unit is the procurement of schools required under section 106 agreements.
It is sad to learn of the disruption caused by RAAC in old school buildings and the impact this will have, particularly on pupils already impacted by recent Covid lockdowns and strikes.
The volunteer force of school governors is likely to have to get to grips with major works projects to address the RAAC.
The government has now produced helpful guidance to schools about RAAC, which can be accessed here.
It is good to see that remote education is only to be provided as a last resort.
