It is with great sadness that we report that Richard Maisey, who was a Partner and Legal Director at Davies and Partners for 27 years, has died in April at the age of 73.
Richard was a good friend and colleague to all those who worked with him had just celebrated his 73rd birthday.
Richard joined us in 1990 and quickly established himself as a key figure in the conveyancing team. He had enjoyed all aspects of his work but particularly the more challenging and unusual property matters. He was admired by clients and colleagues for his robust, direct, and pragmatic approach.
Richard retired in 2017 and continued his busy and fulfilling life. He was father to two daughters, Lara and Fran and recently became a grandfather. He was extremely proud of his Welsh roots and as a result had a strong interest in rugby and a fine baritone voice.
Richard was passionate about the world around him particularly climate change. He was actively involved in local politics following his retirement and had recently become a District Councillor .
Our thoughts are with Lara, Fran and the rest of Richard’s family at this time.
