Alex Tomlinson

Alex is a Legal Director and head of the London Property and Energy Departments. He has extensive experience in the energy sector having acted for a broad range of energy developers and landowners. From small scale green field energy developments, to complex rooftop solar projects, to multi-landowner multi-million pound nationally significant projects.
Alex has worked with a wide range of energy development types including; battery, solar, wind, gas peak power plants, and energy from waste. He acts on behalf of energy developers in securing land rights necessary for the development. He also acts for developers in securing finance, negotiating subleases and wayleaves with Statutory Undertakers, dealing with third party easements, and assignments and novations of energy projects.
Alex also provides real estate support for corporate transactions associated with energy projects such as the real estate elements of SPV share sales or Power Purchase Agreements.
