Emily takes a holistic approach and is emotionally mindful of her clients’ circumstances to best support them and assists in putting in place care plans to enhance their opportunities and quality of life.
She has a detailed knowledge of care needs assessments and financial needs assessments arising under the Care Act 2014 as well as Court of Protection applications for the appointment of a Trustee or Deputy.
Emily works with vulnerable adults, many of whom live with conditions like brain injuries, learning difficulties, ill mental health or dementia. She is a Dementia Friend and has done additional training in suicide prevention and awareness.
Some of Emily’s past cases include assisting in an application for the appointment of a health and welfare deputy for a young adult at risk of sudden death from epilepsy, and the investigation of suspicious transactions arising from a past attorney.
Emily is approachable and friendly and is eager to help. She offers reassurance to clients and their families when things can seem overwhelming and complicated.
