As employers await clarity on the Government’s proposed changes to the Employment Rights Bill, Davies and Partners Solicitors has announced the appointment of Legal Director Alex Lyttle to lead the firm’s specialist Employment Law Team through what could be the most significant legislative changes in decades.
Alex, who brings over 20 years of experience in employment law, joins Davies and Partners from Tayntons Solicitors in Gloucester, where he spent 7 years. In his new role, Alex will further develop the firm’s employment law offering, providing proactive and practical legal advice to both employers and employees across Davies and Partners’ UK offices.
With more than 20 years’ experience as an employment solicitor, Alex is known for delivering clear, pragmatic advice to clients across a wide range of sectors, including care, property, accountancy, and technology. He regularly represents employers of all sizes in Employment Tribunals and the High Court, as well as acting for company directors.
Among his recent successes, Alex defended a complex discrimination claim at the Employment Tribunal and represented a company director in enforcing restrictive covenants in an employment contract dispute.
Speaking about his appointment, Alex said: “I am delighted to have joined Davies and Partners, a firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, specialist employment law advice.
This is an uncertain and potentially pivotal time for employment law, as we await the Government’s decision on the proposed changes to the Employment Rights Bill. I look forward to working with our expert team to guide and support our clients in preparing for and responding to any forthcoming changes.”
